Annabel Cromwell is a New York City–based Equity actor who has been seen in concerts, readings, and productions around the city, most recently the new musicals Tess and Start From Hello. 

Annabel got her start studying classical vocal performance at the New England Conservatory of Music, where she developed a deep grasp of musicality and music theory. This has given her an understanding and appreciation of many different vocal styles and genres, allowing her the flexibility and range to further her acting and storytelling. Growing up in a small town listening to bluegrass music and singing opera, she nowadays can often be found listening to and performing anything from indie rock to Sondheim—giving her work a contemporary, genre-fluid feel.

She has continued her vocal and acting training since moving to New York, studying privately with Chris McCarrell, Lindsay Mendez, and Karen Holvik, and with programs such as Actor Therapy and The Growing Studio.

When not working, auditioning, or performing, Annabel can be found at weekly trivia night on the Upper West Side (or memorizing geography facts to prepare), walking her pit bull Cosette through Central Park while listening to Boygenius music, or catching a double feature at the Times Square AMC.
